About the Name

The name Arted 4 Life came about during a session of brainstorming the founders had long before the site came to life. It basically means that art will be a part of our lives forever. And while the suffix “-ed” indicates past tense and a condition or quality, it can also be interpreted as the altar that served as witness to future generations. This blog is a witness to the many aspects of art, and it is our hope that the knowledge will be passed down to those that come after us.

About the Founders

Daria: Daria is the mastermind behind Arted4Life.com. Her vision for a blog that focused on art came to fruition in early 2009. Daria runs many successful blogs and Squidoo lenses focusing on her varied interests, and is an administrator and promotion manager for an online art gallery. Her passion for art and artists has been focused on the success and growth of this blog. Her other interests include gardening, blogging, and spiritual learning.

Doroteja: Doroteja is an artist and writer whose growing enthusiasm for all things art have propelled her into this project after Daria presented her with the idea of an all-inclusive art blog. Doroteja enjoys writing and discussing any topic related to art, and often likes to focus on the nitty-gritty details when it comes to hot topics. Besides art & writing, her passions include deviantART, linguistics, drawing, painting, literature, and people.

Erik: Erik brings to you the aesthetics of this site. He keeps the technical aspects of the blog running smoothly, and writes the weekly Cool Designs feature. His hobbies include video games, computer programming, technical sketching, and various rock music.
