For a few days now I’ve been thinking about all the artists out there that might be looking for art contest to apply for. So I put together this resource of the art contests, currently available around the web.

Most talked about art contests
Art Prize announced the world’s largest art prize in amount of quarter of thousand dollars and several others, still generous money prizes.
Their description of the contest states:

Children’s art contests
7th Annual Children’s Freedom Art Contest
“The required entry form is available on the Flags Across the Nation Web site. The contest is open to children in grades 1 through 6 across America. They are allowed to use pencils, crayons, paint, makers and fabric — but not glitter — for their artwork. The piece should be on 8.5-by-11-inch paper and mailed to Flags Across the Nation, P. O. Box 78995, Charlotte, NC 28271-7045 by Aug. 7. None of the artwork will be returned.”
