I’m not very good at painting but I can certainly appreciate the complexity in these. My favorite is skull, since it so amazing. It seems to shout. Very cool.

Lovely paintings….I am particularly drawn to the still-lifes “Teacup and Pear” and “Pink Lillies”. Nice use of color!

I have seen some of the above paintings in person and the detail is incredible. A short true story about Chris’s art:

In Las Vegas, a person’s neighbor died and someone cleaned out his house dumping everything in the trash bin. This person went over and took out a painting from the trash, saw the signature, and looked up Chris on the internet then called to see if the painting were an original. Yes it was. So the gentleman called an art collector and the collector bought the painting! That gentleman just made money from saving a beautiful piece of art from the trash. We saw also that it had a tag on the back where it had been auctioned. Very interesting! The gentleman that saved the painting emailed photos of the painting front and back, and showing the tag.

I wonder the life of a painting and what it goes through over 25 or 30 years.

Chris Hogan is a very talented artist!

Very well done. I especially like “Pink Lilies” for the use of color and sharpness/contrast, and “Tobacco Barn”, which appeals to my rural background. i’d love to see more flowers and farm paintings.
