Tellman Knudson is not an artist and I have no idea what kind of art he might appreciate. He is an eccentric online entrepreneur who decided to to something unheard of – to help the homeless youth: Tellman Knudson is on his way to raise 100 million for kids with no home – by running from the East Coast of U.S. to the West, barefoot!
Tellman Knudson’s statement:
I’m running from New York to Los Angeles, clear across the great U. S. of A., to raise $100,000,000 for homeless youth. And oh yeah, I’m doing it barefoot.
Sounds crazy, right? I get that a lot. But I live by a guiding principle: If you don’t set yourself extremely ambitious goals, nothing great will ever be accomplished.
I leave from the southern tip of Manhattan on 9/9/09. With a little luck and a lot of support, I’ll reach the Santa Monica pier at the Pacific Ocean in 99 days.
Since Tellman is well known and popular among celebrities like Sir Richard Branson, Mark Joyner and countless others – and online marketers alike, his latest project not only attracted TV and press media attention – he also has individual supporters around the country and around the world.
Obviously a big fan, DJ from McCook, Nebraska painted RunTellmanRun logo on the front of his house – for everyone to see:

Horace Daniles expressed his support in a very artistic way – by drawing Tellman’s caricature – after completing the fun-run at the very beginning of the RunTellman Run race in New York on 9/9/09 (see image below):

Day 1 and 2 of the race went smoothly and Tellman had no troubles with his feet or the weather. Day 3 was a day off due to tornado warnings across the state of New Jersey. We will keep you posted how this big adventure and charity project continues, especially when Tellman’s supporters get artistically inspired – and publish their creations.

RunTellmanRun Day 01: Tellman embarks on his historic journey across America with the support of friends and fans alike. The kick off event was held at Battery City Park in NYC and began with a 1 mile Fun Run, followed by 13 barefoot miles around the pristine streets of NYC and over the GW Bridge to New Jersey.

That’s pretty incredible! What a way to raise money. But he is right- without high goals there won’t be many high achievements. I wish Mr. Knudson all the luck he needs and I hope the run is going well. Run Tellman Run!
He will have really thick callouses when he is done. The west is gonna be hard, the cement is really hot out there. Good luck to him!
I’m glad to know that at least some of the unauthorized charges (for a “membership” Tellman claims he can’t cancel) on my credit card are going to charity. Or are they? I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just another of his smoke screens and diversions. Like his disconnected “support phone.”
