New Year’s Eve Favorites of Mine

in Art is Everywhere

I love photography. Sometimes, to distract myself from things that do not feel all that that pleasant, I go and browse beautiful, inspired photos. They make me smile, they take me to the places I’ve never been to before, and sometimes their lively colors take my breath away. A few of my favorites, randomly chosen on New Year’s Eve 2010 are collected and shared with you in this post. Enjoy!

In his comment, someone renamed the photo above to Leaf Love. I thought that was perfect: “Two leaves holding on together for as long as they can…”

I don’t know what these balls or fruits are – but they sure look very sophisticated to me!

Another leaf and another play of light that adds unexpected colors, shapes and views…

Colourful seaweed

I’ve always enjoyed finding beauty in the simplest things that are mostly overlooked or taken for granted all together. Like this seaweed on the beach in Indian Ocean from the photo above.

Images that inspire me are also the ones that help me create my personal new stories, desires and intentions. And as Abraham put it:

As you imagine and visualize and verbalize your new story, in time you will believe the new story, and when that happens, the evidence will flow swiftly into your experience. A belief is only a thought you continue to think; and when your beliefs match your desires, then your desires must become your reality.

Wishing you many new stories and updated beliefs throughout the Happy New Year 2011!

Beautiful photos…thank you. I have never seen beautiful seaweed. All that I have seen is brown, but I did do a painting/collage of seaweed and debris on a beach that actually made it look quite beautiful…even in brown! And it sold, so I guess someone else agreed.
I love the Abraham comment. I will post that on my desk along with my other profound quotations. I plan that 2011 will be my best year yet, and I wish that for everyone else as well!

Beautiful photos, that seaweed is truly amazing. Sometimes we forget to “stop and smell the roses” and miss out on the otherwise beautiful colors and admire the complexity of nature.
