Sri Rajes‘ fourth art tips-and-tricks lesson is not about how to paint flowers but How to Paint Sea Themes. She uses a unique 3D style and all kinds of natural materials to create lots of different sea-themed paintings. This way of creating art works most reminds of childhood playfulness. Love it, hope you do to! ![]()

How to paint sea themes – Lesson #4
by Sri Rajes
.
- Place ready made stretched canvas on table.
Collect or buy shells, wash and throw away the flesh.
For fast job heat up these shells in an old frying pan.
Place sand or shells plastic peals on canvas.
Be creative and form whatever shape you like or just
scatter on the centre of canvas.
Pour clear lacquer over the shells and whatever item you have placed
on the canvas. You can also sprinkle glitter if you like.
Leave it to dry for a week.
Use aerosol (spray paint) or acrylic paint.
Varnish again with thick clear lacquer.
Make sure all the items on the canvas are completely
holding tightly. So when you hang up your masterpiece the shells should not fall off.
Very simple. Anybody can do it.

Your techniques are awesome and I just love your paintings! You have a very unique style and I love the 3D look of it. Beautiful work. I will try some of these methods and send you photos.
I just adore your work! The compositions are excellent, and the use of metallics is smashing! I wish I lived near you and could work with you. This is so like what I enjoy doing!
Dear Doroteja and Marilyn
