Now, we all take pride in our backyards. But some people really go above and beyond to create cool designs in their garden. Here is a testament to their hard hedge or topiary artwork.

Enjoy!

This horseman is quite something eh? I wonder how they get the plant to support itself like that…

For some you DIYers here’s something a little more down to earth and possibly doable.

Quite a collection of topiary art, I wish I knew how to prune the bush in front of my house into the simplest yet attractive shape… ;)

I love this. The horse is really something! Can’t imagine the time it would take. I think it would be very satisfying to have a small one that I could keep in control without to much time involved.

How interesting to see this collection of topiary photos! I really am impressed with this kind of work, and amazed at the “sculptors” patience to be able to trim a bit, then wait and wait for it to grow. I would love to have such a piece of art in my own yard!

Nice! I like the LEGO one at the bottom. Nice touch. The interweaveing one reminded me of pie… Good job. :)

The fifth picture really amazes me! It really looks like a basket made from shrubs, I’ve never seen anything like this! Keep up the good work! :)

I’ve been fascinated by Topiary Art ever since I learned what it was when I read “The Shining” by Stephen King. While that experience forever colors my view, I love it nonetheless. My favorite of these is the basket weave hedge: elegant and precise. I also love the homage to Seurat and his “Grande Jette” painting. Isn’t it amazing and amusing how humans imagine and create? We just can’t stop.
