in Cool designs

Ice sculptures are an amazing form of art that I really like. And this is my shameless and thinly veiled attempt to get to look up ice sculptures while I’m supposed to be working ;D

Even though it’s just a simple ice sculpture, he seems alive.

This is probably one of the most complex ice sculptures I have ever seen. The wheels must have taken hours. Quite amazing that they got them to be so perfectly round.

Hope you enjoyed your weekly cool designs post about ice sculptures. Make sure to check back often so that you don’t miss any great photos!

I have a deep respect for all ice and snow sculptures since I’ve first been at the snow festival in a small mountain village in Slovenia – a long time ago. The imagination of the artists seems limitless and the intricate details appear beyond what one would think is humanly possible…

Beautiful selection, thank you for these precious cool moments!! :)

These ice sculptures are fantastic. They look so realistic and lifelike, and I love the way the light plays off them. The Cinderella pumpkin coach is particularly beautiful; the detail and workmanship is very evident. What a pleasure to look at these!

Wow these ice sculptures sure are amazing and appear to have taken hours and hours to complete each one. Several of them appear to be incredibly detailed and are really stunning to think that they were carved out of ice and will likely not last for a very long time. I’d love to see some additional ice sculptures, I’ve seen many on TV and continue to be stunned by them.

These are amazing. I love ice sculpture. We were able to watch artists at work on similar pieces when we lived in Alaska several years ago. The carriage has to be my favorite of this group. It’s like touching a fairy tale.

Lovely. Ice sculptures are fascinating, even more so in real life. I wonder how long it takes one to learn how to sculpt ice? It obviously takes a lot of skill and talent. Thanks for sharing these cool designs with us Erik.
