Lightning and lava

Natural disasters are not the topic that fascinates me but this last one, Iceland’s ash cloud produced by Eyjafjallajokull glacier volcano eruption, sure gave us some unbelievable photo shots, unlike anything seen before.

By the way, Eyjafjallajokull volcano name is pronounced
EY-ya-fyat-lah-YOH-kuht
- according to the New York Times.

I have never seen such clear pictures of lightning in volcanic clouds before. I think I’ve seen pictures like this before, but never so dramatic or clear. A hard time for europe, but this pictures are quite stunning nonetheless. Thanks :D

From a few days volcanic eruption in Iceland is in the news. It was being told that the ash clouds have disrupted air service all over Europe. These pictures are marvelous representation of what happened there on eruption of the glacier volcano whose name is toodifficult topronounce. These are so good that I am going to send this link to some of my friends.

You know Karla, these are probably my favorite horses. I’ve seen them for the first time about two decades ago. Only one horse farm in Slovenia had them and we stopped by to see them every time we were in that area.
